Professional Introduction

Greetings Professor and Graduate Students, it is my pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am a Preach of thirty years and a 2009 Graduate of Henderson State University with a Bachelor in General studies. I have an AA in education and AAS in Early Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope. I joined the United State Coast Guard in 1987 and served 3 years. I was told by my Drill Sargent that my diction and presentation was good but I needed to broaden my word base and fine tune style. My passion was ignited and I began my path towards academic excellent. The road was bumpy, but, “Promise deferred is not promise denied”, so here I stand. Ms. Champion, My CDA instructor, added to my passion with her years of experience and unwavering love for the education of children.

It is my goad to teach Head Start until I retire and during my last five year prior to retirement teach on the college level. While I may not get rich I will always be happy. Having five daughters and serving as youth director for many years has strengthened my love for the field of educating your children. Being a man in the field and in the classroom is challenging in itself but I believe our children need to see Positive male role models early on in life. I will overcome any barriers with my overwhelming desire to make a difference.   A wise person said “it is not how many times you fall that matters but how many times you get back up; I will just keep getting back up!
